### Responsibilities
As the Administrative Support Assistant, you willl:
* Serve as field office point of contact for low level HR customer service.
* Purchase supplies and equipment, maintain receipts, verifiy transactions, and reconcile charge card statements through the DOI integrated charge card program.
* Assist property management officials to ensure accuracy of ownership and custody of all personal property.
* Schedule and dispatch motor vehicles and monitor the overall status of the fleet including vehicle repairs, inspections, and maintenance as needed.
* Validate time and attendance, prepare travel documents, prepare/review correspondence, assist in records management, processes incoming and out-going mail, maintains and monitors forms usage and maintains the central filing system for the field office.
* Serve as the field office first point-of-contact for customer support to the public.

### Qualifications
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement- please be sure to include this information in your resume.
To qualify for the GS-05 grade level, you must satisfy one of the requirements described below:
1) SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must show that you have one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level (GS-04). Examples: entering data in various computer programs; assisting with travel arrangements; answering inquiries regarding basic administrative procedures; and, interpreting policies and procedures.
2) EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION: Four years of progressive education above the high school level.
3) COMBINING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: You may meet the qualifications requirement for this position by combining specialized experience and appropriate education according to the following formula: (a) your total months of full time specialized experience as a percentage of a 12 month total; PLUS (b) your total number of qualifying undergraduate semester or quarter hours as a percentage of four years of undergraduate study leading to a Bachelor's Degree. The total of the two percentages must equal at least 100 percent.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of the announcement.

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
