Leidos is seeking a professional Editor to support multiple programs in our Greenwood Village Colorado location.

Job Summary*
Edit technical reports and briefings, to include grammar, consistency of content, sentence structure, footnotes, bibliography, and other markings. With mentoring develop the skill sets required to edit and provide first level quality control to complex classified technical reports to include identifying discontinuities in content.
*Primary Responsibilities*
-Edit technical reports and briefings; provide first level edit and quality control of complex classified technical reports and identify discontinuities in content; work hand -in-hand with appropriate translator or technical analyst to resolve issues with substantive content and readability.
-Carry out, from start to finish, final production of documents with several stylistic formats and delivery of hard and soft copy documents to US government clients.
-Perform conceptual edit of content, organization, and flow of reports addressing complex topics. Ensure deliverables adhere to project guidance and other guidelines, while also assisting in the development and improvement of guidance for deliverables.
*Qualifications:*
*Basic Qualifications*
-A Bachelors Degree is highly preferred. Must have high school diploma ,a minimum of two years of college and two years of related experience.
-Must demonstrate high level of attention to detail with skills in grammar, syntax, and spelling.
-Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) are required.
-Strong communication skills. Position requires an efficient, organized, self-directed individual, who can prioritize individual tasks, respond to urgent requirements in a timely manner, and works well with others.
-Candidate must be able to adapt skillset to the task requirements.
-Individual must possess strong attention to detail required to protect classified information and follow procedures for safeguarding classified information without incident.
-Ability to work independently within a larger team context.
*Required Security Clearance:*
Applicant must meet one of three security clearance criteria: 1) have and active SECRET clearance; 2) have SECRET eligibility based on a previous access debrief date within the last two years; or, 3) accept an offer based on a contingency that they must be able to obtain Interim SECRET clearance within 45 days from date of the offer.
*Preferred Qualifications :*
-Experience in technical editing. Adobe Illustrator/graphic design and layout.
-Interest in fields such as liberal arts, social sciences, and international relations
